Birthday Celebration:
We had a wonderful birthday celebration with Hart! He woke up and opened presents and ate breakfast and took a nice nap. Then, we packed a snack and headed to the Children's Museum! We had some cheese and cereal at the museum and then headed to the small kids area! Hart had fun observing, planting some potatoes, and crawling through tunnels. We were really surprised to see how timid Hart was! He is a little firecracker and jokester with us, but was very serious, observant, and unwilling to let you get too far. It took him a bit to get comfortable, but we had a blast crawling through logs, going down slides, looking in the mirror, and playing with blocks.
After the Children's Museum we went to Proto pizza and it was DELICIOUS! Hart was a goof the whole time, and enjoyed a traditional Italian pizza while mom and dad got a spicy pineapple pizza! He was a superstar on the drive home, and we got home just in time to nap.
After Hart's nap, we had cake! We made Hart an angel food cake with homemade whipped cream and fresh berries. Sounds delicious, right? Not for the birthday boy! He was very offended by the texture of the whipped cream, but took some nibbles of naked cake and plain berries. What can you do!
Uncle Logan and Aunt Linda came over for black bean burgers and a little birthday party before bedtime! Hart had a good time checking out some new fashionable clothes he got, as well as sobbing when we made him touch Logan's big beard.
It was simply the BEST day, and Hart seemed to have a lot of fun!
